Over several days, the twice-daily small group guided safaris revealed the Serengeti in all its raw theatre. Ben encountered a pride of lions resting in golden light, giraffes silhouetted against an amber horizon, herds of buffalo crossing the plains, and the constant activity of hippos jostling in the river below the lodge.
“Being immersed in the Serengeti definitely reminded me how powerful and fragile nature can be,” Ben reflected. Each moment felt like a real National Geographic scene unfolding, breathtaking, intimate and profoundly humbling.
