Immerse yourself in the landscape

Immerse yourself in the landscape

You’ve been stuck inside way too long! Isn’t it time you get back into the great outdoors and immerse yourself in the stunning Australian landscape?

Apex Travel has been granted exclusive access to one of the most picturesque places in the Australian countryside situated on the New South Wales (NSW) and Victorian (VIC) border (Bidhawal country), this magnificent property is called Yambulla.

About Yambulla

On this 1500-hectare property encompassing the Yambulla valley and Yambulla Peak, owner Jim has founded Yambulla Lodge, an eco friendly retreat where he is restoring former grazing land back to its ‘natural’ state through collaborative land management projects.

At Yambulla Lodge small groups of guests (2-8 people) are treated to a curated experience where they have full use of the Lodge’s facilities. This includes beautifully appointed & cosy private rooms, all meals and food, plus local wines around the dining table in the evening.

Gaze up at the clear blue sky and breathe in the crisp mountain air. This property offers total escape and seclusion with uninterrupted natural beauty all around and not a neighbour in sight.

What to do at Yambulla

An immersive experience, Yambulla is not just a property where you come and put your feet up (although there certainly will be some time for that). It is centred around its guided immersion tours where owner Jim gives guests the unique experience of accessing the stunning landscapes across the property. Tours give guests the opportunity to learn more about ecological land management programs, native grasslands, grains and sustainable timber plantations.

At its core the experience at Yambulla offers guests relaxation and education. You can immerse yourself in the land and find out more about what it truly means to rejuvenate it, in connection with traditional owners, how to conserve the natural ecology and protect native species.

Getting to Yambulla

If you’re after a road trip or scenic drive, Yambulla is located approximately a 6 hour drive from either Sydney or Melbourne, or a 3 hour drive from Canberra. The closest large town to Yambulla is Eden.
